guys, my parents found out i was posting here.
I hear dreadful experiences of conventions in the 1950s of 5 plus days conventions.
Imagine its 95degrees in the shade sitting there on bleachers. Having to camp out in crowded campgrounds with no a/c,, mosquitos,, flies & outhouses.
I remember growing up in the 1980s of the convention starting on Thursday afternoon & lasting all weekend in some arena all day on plastic moulded seats. No a/c & crowded concourses.

About the literal number 144,000 " conspicuously" left out.
How convenient.....
Drop that literal number and they can push their narrative as far as they can. Overlapping generations,, then dropping the 144,000 number altogether. They can kick this can down the road indefinitely!!!!!!

The 2 class 2 tier system is such a fundamental core teaching in JWdom.
Abandoning it almost totally eradicates the principal of life on earth in paradise.
Having to earn that prospect is a cornerstone doctrine of this prospect of surviving Armageddon then the 1000 year period,,, the ""final test"",,,,, then paradise.
What the hard core hardliners have resolved to for decades is suddenly erased in one new understanding. Its almost like the 2 class system which the Borg has held onto for over 89 years is nullified.
This 2 class system has been the backbone of JW theology since the 1930s Rutherford era. Its what makes the JW theology ""unique"",, separate or different.

Hard to believe. That's one core belief the Borg pounds into its victims(believers) heads to firm-up & solidify the ""us vs them" mentality..
On the other hand however,,, the Borg is notorious for flip flopping on core doctrines. Like the faithful slave,, organ transplants,, superior authorities,,,,maybe the first flip flop on the 144,000? Perhaps.....

is it just me or has there been a massive change in jws of late?.
when i grew up in the cult they had a real sense of urgency and would do an hour minimum, these days it’s not even ten mins before coffee break.. same goes for everything else, it’s half hearted .
Ahh the lockdown.
The internet.....just a mouse click away.
